Joel Rivage
was born on June 14, 1970 in France. Married and father of three children,
it writes since the 16 years age. Very early, it is interested in the
thought and the destiny of the man. Its first book revelations are
carried by Albert Camus ( Le_mythe_de_Sisyphe), and Carl Gustav Jung
(La_Psychologie_de_l' inconscient). From there will be born an irreversible
need to include/understand why and how the man exists in this world.
Le_Rouge_et_le_Noir to Sthendal, the poems of Arthur Rimbaud or the
tragic actors traditional complete definitively to carry it towards
the literature and the need for the writing.
Its various influences carry it to the liking of its thoughts towards the romanticism
of the end of the XIXème century or the theatre of Beckett but always
push it towards this search of the absolute and this thirst To include/understand
and Feel.
While following studies of Right (DEA of public
and private law of the economy) it makes theatre and continues its
work of writing
with a collection
of 50 poems. It enters in 1997 a mutual insurance as lawyer, where it always
exerts, and continues at the same time his literary ambition. They are
naturally his/her children, Lou (9 years), Annaël (7 years) and Antonin
(5 years) which have led it for a few years to write and illustrate tales
for children.
Lucien the small sunbeam is the first tale which he writes. It finishes
design it in December 1999 whereas his son is on the point of coming in
the world. Providence will want that Antonin is born a little earlier than
envisaged, one January 8 of the year 2000, the day of the Lucien saint!
Other tales for children follow very quickly until it manages to finish
its first novel, Venusia, in August 2001. The illustrations of its tales
lead it to discover the computer graphics of which some of its works are
published by the Editions of the Wind of Banks. Currently Joel Rivage has
as a project two other novels in the course of writing of which the continuation
of Venusia.
Concerning the graphic arts, it continues its pictorial research by using
in particular the software Bryce 3d, Poser, Painter Classic and Photoshop.
Its universe with oneiric and phantasmagoric dimensions plunges us in the
Other world, that of which it returns sometimes to deliver its illustrations
to us such of true notebooks of voyage, that of which it pushes back always
a little more the unknown borders: the world of the imaginary one.
